• Culture - What are the patterns we see in cultures? How does place impact culture? How does culture impact perception? What factors contribute to cooperation or conflict among cultures?

• Geography - What is geography? What are the tools of geography? How can we use them to describe and think about places in our world?

• Native People of Wisconsin - What are the cultures of Native People of Wisconsin of the past? How do those cultures continue to impact the Native People of Wisconsin today?

• Latin America - What are the cultures of Latin America of the past (Aztec, Inca, Maya)? How do those cultures impact Latin America today?

• Canada - What are the cultures of Canada's past? How do those cultures impact Canada today?

We will also be doing inquiry topics related to our units this year where we will explore a variety of perspectives on a current issue, determine our own claim about the issue, and use evidence and explanation to support our claim.
