About Us

For many years in Oregon K-12 school systems, we have faced a number of challenges around student data:

• How do we present data in an intuitive manner to inform instruction?
• With the advent of digital resources and tools, how can we solve interoperability issues?
• As students move between school systems in Oregon, how can we quickly and securely provide information supporting the student to the new district?
• How can we re-think a complex and time-consuming State Reporting process?

The Oregon K-12 community has a rich history of strong collaborative efforts and much has been done to address these challenges. Education Nexus Oregon builds upon our collective lessons-learned and leverages our collaborative culture to implement a data standard which will simplify data for teachers and will transform the manner in which we securely store and exchange data for student transfer and State Reporting purposes.

Education Nexus was formed in 2016 through a collaboration between a small number of school districts and education service districts (ESDs) that were seeking a data standard to address our common challenges.
