To comply with Ohio student data privacy laws (including HB 8 and SB 29), any application, software, or digital tool that requires student account creation—even via Google Single Sign-On—MUST be vetted by the Technology Department and listed on our official approved list before student use.

• Requires Vetting: Any app, program, or site where students log in, create accounts, input personal data, or submit work.

• Does NOT Require Vetting: Standard websites used purely for reading, viewing, or accessing information (where no student accounts or logins are used).

1. Check the Database: If your digital tool requires student logins or account creation, search the District Approved Digital Resources List to verify it is cleared for student use.
