The spring season is underway, and the ORCA esports program is already demonstrating both growth and competitive spirit across a wide range of titles. With multiple teams competing in different games, the program continues to expand its presence and build a strong community.
In Marvel Rivals, the team has opened the season with a 1-2 record and is currently ranked #56 out of 94 teams. While still finding their footing, the team has shown flashes of potential against tough competition.
Similarly, the Overwatch 2 squad sits at 1-3, holding the #36 spot out of 57 teams. Despite a challenging start, they continue to improve with each match as they develop stronger coordination and strategy.
One of the program’s standout performances so far has come from Rocket League Team A. With a 2-1 record and an impressive #12 ranking out of 55 teams, they are emerging as a strong contender this season. Meanwhile, Rocket League B has gone 1-2 and currently ranks #23 out of 55 teams, showing solid competitiveness in a deep field.
In Super Smash Bros., the team holds a 1-2 record and is ranked #67 out of 110 teams. With such a large pool of rivals, there is plenty of opportunity for movement in the standings as the season progresses.
At this time, it appears that the program is not fielding a team in League of Legends for the spring season.
Beyond the results, the growth of the esports program itself stands out as a major success. The variety of games and number of teams competing highlights the increasing interest and dedication among players. Coach Elliott has played a key role in this development, fostering a strong sense of community while also setting clear expectations for team members.
As the season continues, there is optimism that these teams will build on their early experiences, improve their standings, and continue representing the program with pride.
