November 2025
It’s now November and with Halloween over, people are now turning their attention to the next major holiday, Thanksgiving. However, there’s some other holidays to celebrate in November, ranging from interesting to downright silly. And that’s what this list is all about. So, without further ado, here are the top five odd holidays to remember this month.
November 2 is known as Deviled Eggs day. This day celebrates the popular snack, deviled eggs, as the incredibly tasty delicacy that (almost) everyone loves. How does one celebrate this very unique holiday? Try adding fun toppings or spices to your deviled eggs, maybe even sprinkling some bacon crumbs. Deviled eggs are also known as angel eggs and stuffed eggs.
November 3 is recognized by many across the world as Sandwich day. This day has some background, as it is actually the birthday of the man who is credited with the invention of the sandwich. As the story goes, the English royal John Mantagu requested his servants bring him meat in between two slices of bread so that he could eat without a break in his gambling. Playing cards was his passion and Earl of Sandwich was his title. And thus, the sandwich was born. Interestingly, the US celebrates sandwich day more than any other country in the world.
November 10 is known as National Vanilla Cupcake Day in the United States of America. This is a day to celebrate the flavor of this classic treat. To honor this day, most people break out the baking supplies and start mixing flour, sugar, and all the other confectionery ingredients together to create these mini-masterpieces. After making cupcakes, you could throw a party and share them. This will surely create fun and smiles for people of all ages.
November 13 is known and celebrated all over the world as World Kindness Day. Created in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement, it’s a day to be kind to others. How to celebrate? Well, this one is easy. Just be kind to other people, animals, the environment, or all three. Try picking up some trash from the roadside, feeding a stray cat, or holding the door open for a stranger. Not only does being kind make others happy, it also will make the person who is being kind feel good. So choose happiness for not just you but others and be extra kind on this day.
Lastly, we have National Absurdity day on November 20. This is the one day where people all across the nation celebrate the absolute absurdness of life. If you didn’t know, the word absurd comes from the latin word “absurdus,” which means out of tune. So the only thing to know about this is to not know anything. Everyone has a wacky side to them and this is the perfect day to show it off. It would just be absurd to ignore this holiday.
That concludes this list of unquestionably interesting holidays. From celebrating delicious desserts to acknowledging the absurdity of life, there’s something for everyone to celebrate as we dive into November.
