December 2025
The end of term. At first, it sounds like something to look forward to. You're finishing many entertaining (but nonetheless difficult) modules and assignments in class, and you're ready for the next challenge. Then… all the assignments catch up. The good thing is, whether it's finals, unfinished projects, or module assignments, there are ways to make it through that final week.
Day 1: The Realization
This, in most cases, is the day most students start to worry. You're riding high right up until you see more assignments due than you thought possible. The good news is that it's Monday (hopefully). It’s early in the week, and you have time to check upcoming assignments early and try to get ahead of the chaos. Pro tip: If you have some missing assignments, try to find a day that week that you aren’t super busy. Use that day's free time and do some catching up.
Day 2: The Energy Surge
By this point, many students have become determined to be productive and work non-stop. While being productive is a good thing, it's important to remember to give yourself room to breathe. If you do too much work too quickly, then you’ll run out of steam early on. Turns out nature is a lot more calming than school. Take a second to finish just that day's assignments, and then if you have time, work on some others.
Day 3: The Call For Help
So you’ve gotten your assignments done, you're doing great, but you have this one assignment that you just can’t quite figure out. Since when did numbers and letters work together? If that's the case, reach out. The teachers in your classes are there to help you. They want you to ask for help. Ask if you can schedule an appointment and tell them about your problems. Surprisingly, they know a lot of the answers.
Day 4: The Rest
You're almost there. There's just one more day in the week before you can finally breathe again, but let's be honest: you're tired. That's not a bad thing. An overload of schoolwork can tire students out. The key is to get some rest, and study when you feel well rested. Your studying doesn’t have to be too hardcore, just catch up on some past lessons. Maybe read some articles your teacher recommended. After that, go take a nap.
Day 5: The Reckoning
Friday. The day that instills fear and excitement into the hearts of all students. It's the last day, you're almost to the weekend, but it's also your last chance to get all those assignments submitted on time. Luckily, you’ve had all week to prepare. You have your notes, you have your knowledge, and now it's time to finish it off. This is the time to put that advice into effect. Check out some student resources, and if you still need help, send an email. Don’t rush assignments. And the most important thing is to remember that you got this.
School weeks like this can be nerve racking sometimes. They can make you tired and maybe cut into some of your Mario Kart time, but if you play your cards right, you can ace the end of term.
