Course Description Guide:

The course description guide provides detailed information about all classes offered at Orchard View High School. It includes course summaries, prerequisites, credit values, and guidance for academic and graduation planning. Students and families can use this guide to make informed decisions about scheduling and future academic goals.

Dual Enrollment:

Dual Enrollment allows high school students to take college-level courses through a partnering college or university while still in high school. Students can earn both high school and college credit simultaneously. This program helps students experience college academics early, explore career interests, and reduce future college costs. 

Early College:

The Early College program is a five-year high school experience that allows students to earn a high school diploma and up to 60 transferable college credits or an associate degree. Students take a blend of high school and college courses, gaining valuable skills and a head start on higher education. 

Edmentum & Credit Recovery:

Edmentum is an online learning platform used for credit recovery and individualized coursework. It allows students to make up credits needed for graduation or work ahead at their own pace. With teacher support and progress monitoring, Edmentum offers a flexible way to stay on track toward earning a diploma. MCVA:

MCVA offers students the opportunity to take fully online courses while remaining connected to their home district. This program is designed for students who benefit from flexible scheduling, individualized pacing, or remote learning. MCVA students receive academic and counseling support through both the virtual platform and their local school.

Work Based Learning:

Work-Based Learning provides students with real-world experience by connecting classroom education with on-the-job training. Students can explore career interests, develop professional skills, and earn credit through internships, job placements, or cooperative education experiences with local employers.
