I am currently the 1st Grade Teacher and Highly Capable Coordinator for OISD

I Grew up on an island in Michigan and earned a Bachelors from Central Michigan University and then a Masters in Ele. Education and Administrative Certification from Portland State University. I am hold a National Board of Education Degree.

I am trained in the following philosophies and practices: STEM, Universal Design for Learning, Project Based Learning, Montessori, NGSS, Art Therapy, SIOP, GLAD, Integrated Learning, Equity Based Practices, CKLA 

I have experience teaching the following: Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, Middle School, Social Emotional Classes, and Talented and Gifted Classes.
