Study Hall Guidelines

Behavior Expectations


  • Be respectful- Enter the classroom quietly, sit down, work quietly.

  • Be accountable- Use the time to work on schoolwork. Keep your cell phone in your backpack. Stay on task with school related assignments. If you don’t have assignments, you may read a book.

  • Be determined- Finish or make progress on your work.


BE RAD! Rad points will be earned by following these behavior expectations.


Daily Schedule


  • Enter class and take out your work/computer.

  • Create/Reference a “to do list”.

  • Work on tasks.

  • Nothing to work on? Read a book or organize your backpack/folders/papers.



Rewards and Consequences


Study Hall is an independent and self-directed class. You are expected to come into class, work and then leave. It is that easy. If you are continuously successful there are rewards and if you struggle there are consequences.


Potential Rewards


  • RAD points

  • Free time if all work is complete and grades are C or above. You must be prepared to show evidence.

  • S/O in citizenship

Potential Consequences

  • Your cell phone will be taken if it is out during class.

  • Conference with teacher

  • Phone call home

  • Conference with parents

  • N/U in citizenship- (3 or more tardies will result in an N)

  • Referral to the office

  • Removal from Study Hall
