I chose this story because it has a lot of words that I learned in Zapoteco when I was in Oaxaca. I learned animal words and verbs that I was able to use here. The story was in Spanish, and I had to translate it into Zapoteco. This book helped me learn how different English, Spanish, and Zapotec are to one another. When you are bi-lingual and trying to learn another language it's hard but you do it for what drives you. That for me was my grandfather and ancestry but it could be different for everyone.
