Dear Andy,
Better late than never right?!
Thank you for agreeing to be my mentor, going above and beyond with the tasks I threw at you on a days before notice at midnight. You really taught me and pushed me to do the best I can. I cannot thank you enough for all of the time you have put into me this last year, making sure I know as much as I can so I succeed. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for you and your witty humor. Thank you for keeping up with my procrastination in all aspects of this project, and thank you for always checking in with me making sure I am meeting my deadlines.
I appreciate how you went the extra mile to teach me the 'why' and 'how' on everything. You made me very comfortable with using airpacks each and every time. Thank you for giving me wonderful opportunities and always willing to go the extra mile!
I am excited to hopefully continue on RVFD with you.
Thank you,
Ella
Dear RVFD department members,
I want to thank each and everyone of you guys and gals for welcoming me to the department with open arms and not holding back any 'HR' jokes. I truly have felt apart of a whole new family in the last year. You guys have taught me so much more than just firefighting skills; I've learned true life skills/lessons, new jokes, and most importantly you older guys have showed you can always be young at heart but your body will make sure to tell you that you're old as hell.
We have encountered difficult calls together and stood by each-others sides before, during, and after the hard times. I am proud to serve the community with such a supportive group. I thank all of you for making me apart of the family, helping me learn new skills, and never failing to make me laugh at 2:30 am in the middle of a snow storm.
Sincerely,
Ella
