You may use excerpts from your journal to complete these questions. Feel free to create your own format for your self-evaluation, but do answer all seven questions. Place this completed form in your portfolio. It will be used as part of the evaluation of your product.

1. Describe your product in 25-50 words.

A small housing reminiscent of the arcade cabinets popular in the 80s

2. Complete the following:

A. Date started: 11-13-20 Date completed: 5-13-21

B. Total hours spent on the product: aprox:24 hours

C. How well did you manage your time to complete the product? What might you do differently to manage your time if you had to do this again?

Overall I wasn't able to finish the project, issues at home and getting a consistent ride to school made it hard for me to get in and have access to the materials to make it. If I had the opportunity to do it again I would, I'm disappointed I couldn't finish the project but I understand I failed

D. How much time did you actually spend working with your mentor?

I spent a fair amount of time with my mentor, he was there for me when I needed him and it helped a lot. He was present for most of the project.

E. How did you use your mentor's expertise?

It did, Mr. Cadow had a lot of good advice and was willing to. He was a major help and I couldn't have done this without him.

3. Explain any personal satisfaction(s) you gained from the experience of working on this product.

I learned to operate a laser cutter, and drilled the metric system into my Brian so now I'm slightly competent with it. using the laser cutter I was able to make all of the prototypes and they came out wonderfully

4. Explain any problem(s) you encountered and solution(s) you created during your work on the product.

It was difficult to make it in to school, home issues and a lack of a ride into class made it hard to work on the project with my mentor

5. What was the picture in your mind of your product before you started working on it? How does this picture compare with the outcome you experienced?

It doesn't meet the picture I made in my mind at all, as all i have to show is a few cardboard cutouts

6. If given the opportunity, what would you do differently now that you have completed the product?

If I had the opportunity I would have started from scratch and made the product I wanted. If i had more time or a consistent ride into school I could have done so.

7. What is your evaluation of the product--Exceeds Proficiency, Proficient, or Approaching Proficiency? Please justify your evaluation in a cohesive paragraph.

I think I failed this, I wasn't able to do the project I so desperately wanted to do and it's my fault. It was difficult to get into school otr get a ride where I had access to the tools I needed. The appropriate grade would be approaching proficiency, I wasn't able to finish the project and that is an appropriate grade for my evaluation
