In this video, I was canning the dilly beans. I first started out by washing the beans and then soaking the jars in hot water and soap to sterilize them. I then started the brine which is the pickling juice that goes into the jars which consist of water salt and vinegar. I then put the brine on the stove and let it come to a boil then let sit boiling for 15 minutes. I started cutting up the Dilly beans and garlic and got my dill, and spices out. I then took the jars out of the sink and washed the soap out the filled them up with warm water until the brine was finished.
This is the second part of the dilly bean video. I am now packing the jars with the beans, dill, garlic, seasoning such as red hot pepper dust, and pickling spice. After packing all the jars I then go take the brine off the stove and start filling the jars with the brine and then take a canning spatula to take out all the air bubbles. I then put the caps on and rings and place the jars in the boiling water bath.
This is the third dilly bean video which is just me waiting for the jars to be done with the water bath. After they are done I then take my jar grabber and place them on the matt and leave the jars untouched for 24 hours. After the 24 hours is up I take the rings on but leave the caps on and place them in my cabinet.
