In this picture, it shows me waiting for the jars to be done with the water bath. A water bath is when you put the jars into boiling water after you're done packing them so that way the jars seal.
My name is Brianna Mattote. For my senior project I choose to can vegetables such as green beans and cucumbers to make dilly beans and pickles. I choose my mother, Jill Mattote to be my mentor because she has a lot of experience with canning. This project caught my eye because I have seen my mother can for years now and I thought it would be a good senior project for me to do. My goal was to get 30 hours of canning in and record in timelapse of me doing the canning process. A takeaway from this project is I know how to can by myself and I can teach others how to can.
