Did you know that our partnership with our sister school in Denmark is over a decade old? Herning Gymnasium is a wonderful school where students focus mainly on the study of languages. The highlight of their school year is to come to America to actually use their English! This immersive experience gets better and stronger each year ALL because of OHS STUDENTS LIKE YOU!!  

New Danish students and teachers visit us at OUR SCHOOL and OUR homes in the FALL and then we get the chance to visit our new friends in the Spring of that same school year… While there, we get to see how school days work in Herning, explore and learn about Viking history, take tours to Royal castles, Art museums and the ORIGINAL LEGO LAND, and spend time in the capital of DENMARK which is COPENHAGEN where you can see the LITTLE MERMAID statue located on a large rock on the seashore of Langelinie Park.  

SO….Next school year (2026-2027), we are expecting 25 young men and ladies from Herning. WE NEED up to 25 STUDENT VOLUNTEERS so PLEASE CONSIDER BEING A PART OF THIS WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY to learn about Danish culture, make new international friends and to SEE THE WORLD by visiting DENMARK in the SPRING OF 2027!

Congratulations to the Girls Tennis Team for being Hawken yesterday afternoon, advancing them to the OTCA State Final Four!

 Today they will be excused to compete in the OHSAA Div. II District Meet at Springside AC (in Fairlawn), but if you see the following athletes, Genevieve Hayden, Melanie Statsevych, Jaya Dixit, Adele Tokmazeysky, Raina Patel, Ivy Berlin, and Lily Guiler, please congratulate them and wish them good luck!
