Crime Scene Sketch
About this assignment
In this assignment were we told to first analyze a crime scene taking note of all the furniture and and objects scattered around the room. We then had to use a ruler to measure the objects such as a knife, gun, blood, body, and furniture. We'd then measure the distance of the object to the wall and write down the information. This assignment was made to help students understand a little bit about how forensics sketches are created and applied to real life situations. For the last part of the assignment we had to put down the case number , date and location, as well as time we sketched the crime scene.
Reflection
This assignment was informative because we learned a lot about crime scene sketching as well as the many step to completely map out a scene
One thing I liked most about this assignment was how the students go to create their own crime scene and map out what they wanted to create.
Evidence Collection
About this assignment
For this assignment the goal was to find evidence from the scene on the slides and analyze that taking notes of our findings. As well as learn the proper methods to pick up different types of evidence and properly bag it. Then once we went through all the slides we had to figure out the murder using our notes to come up with a conclusion as towards who committed the murder.
Reflection
We learned about the many different evidence collections such as collecting trace evidence ,blood spatter, and finger prints
This was important because it demonstrated the process that forensic experts do to collect evidence. They take extreme caution and use many different tools and objects to collect specific evidences.
