And from these slide were topics that students could choose from and work together in groups about topic concerning the criminal justice system. The topic that our group decided to choose was Inadequate defense this primarily focused upon the downfalls of the defensive side of the justice systems. As well as further explaining the downsides of bad lawyering, and how to fix the criminal justice system with procedures and regulations.
Reflection
One thing that was very informative about this assignment was at it taught me and my group the many different sides of the criminal justice system and how flawed it is.
Preventative measures need to be taken in order to insure a stable court system.
This project helped us gain insight in our presentation skills and finding correct and supporting evidence about our topic.
The Deadly Picnic
About this assignment
In the assignment presented students were tasked to conduct an analysis on the case of the "The Deadly Picnic" the theme was to figure out who Killed Mr. Brown the day of the picnic. The main problem was that the student's had to analyze different dialog from different potential suspects. This made the assignment tedious because the student's had to look back towards the evidence that was handed to us and link back to what potentially could have killed Mr. Brown. At the end of the assignment we were tasked with drawing a conclusion as towards who killed Mr. Brown using all the pieces of evidence such as time, wine , and matching what the potential suspects statements to the crime.
Reflection
This assignment is a testament to my capabilities to analytically think about situations and apply that to this assignment.
Another thing I reflected upon was how I was able to minimize the the evidence provided and utilize it to pick and choose who could be the potential suspect
This was one of the first assignment handed towards us in the first marking period so it was an introduction towards the course which demonstrated where we our abilities in analysis was.
