The task was to write an essay about forensic genealogy. The essay had to answer three questions: what is forensic genealogy, and how has it changed how criminal investigations are conducted today? The essay should also explain the moral ramifications of detectives using forensic genealogy and DNA databases to assist with solving crimes.  The essay had to be written in the essay template.

 Objective:  Create an essay that explains forensic genealogy and how the method was used in at least three cold cases.

Due to its explanation of how forensic genealogy is utilized, the assignment is appropriate for the entire unit.

I gained knowledge about how to use Open AI ChatGPT and GPTZero. The GPTZero software provided the perplexity score and burstiness score which tells how much of the essay is written by a human. The Open AI ChatGPT helped make the essay clearer.

This assignment showcases my strengths by showcasing my research and paragraph construction abilities. This article demonstrated my organizational and grammar abilities necessary to create a fantastic paper.

This assignment represents essential themes in the course because it discusses an effective method forensic scientists use today.

I appreciated this project because it demonstrated my writing and research abilities.

The assignment connects with the larger world because since forensic genealogy was introduced, it has helped solve numerous cold cases and made finding criminals more efficient.

The assignment was to make a lab memo that details the experiment. The fiber samples were to be identified in the experiment by examining their properties.  

This project taught me how to assess the process, results, and approaches, which is crucial for writing lab reports.

The objective of the assignment was to create a lab memo that effectively explained the purpose of the experiment, procedure, observations, and results. 

The assignment fits into the overall unit because it explains how forensic scientists use fiber analysis to solve cases. 

By doing this project, I discovered that fibers react differently under certain conditions.

This assignment challenged me to think critically when analyzing the results and ensuring each section was clear and organized.

If I had to complete this assignment again, I would add more information in the findings section to better understand each fiber sample.
