Marking Period I
In this project, our goal was to work with the Shoe For You company to design, prototype, and test a shoe for a specific client based on their specific needs. In our group's case, the shoe was for a child. We needed to create a design that is of high quality, durable even when used during vigorous activity, and accommodating the feet of a growing child. The time spent on this project was 17 class days, with a total of 1360 minutes.
Marking Period II
The purpose of this project was to build a chain reaction by creating robots that move in different movements, and working in a loop continually. In this project, we had to apply what we’ve learned about programming to complete a class challenge. We were required to program a variety of sensors and use sensor data to control motors. To begin this project, we started off by brainstorming as a group and putting ideas together. We also looked up pictures and watched different videos to enhance our ideas. The group finally came to a decision and we began building our ideas. Our group chose to do reciprocating motion. We started this project on January 13th and finished on January 12th. This project took a total of 11 school days to complete. Being that each class duration durated 80 minutes each, this project took us a total of 880 minutes.
