Description: Is English a new language to you? Do you want to know more about K12 schooling in New Jersey? This six-week course is for parents/guardians of English Learner (EL) students in the Orange Public School District. In the course, we'll look to study three things:
Unique vocabulary of K12 schooling in New Jersey
Useful English phrases/expressions for communicating with teachers/administrators, and
Similarities/differences in schooling between New Jersey and global locations participants are familiar with.
By the end of the course, participants will gain knowledge about K12 schooling in New Jersey and build confidence in using English with district teachers/administrators in New Jersey
