About Me

Hello, OPS  families, and welcome to a new school year! My name is Mary Anne Doran, and I am starting my eighth year as a Special Education teacher at Oradell Public School.  

I am excited to be teaching ELA to fifth graders this year! I started my teaching career in Maryland (where I was born and raised), teaching in the primary grades. However, I taught fourth grade before joining OPS in Ridgewood, NJ, Public Schools, first as a classroom teacher and then as an education specialist for the fourth and fifth grades.

I look forward to getting to know all the new faces in fifth grade this year and learning about my new students. I live next door in Haworth with my husband Steve, part-time now with my daughter Katherine, a junior track athlete at Union College in Schenectady, NY, who is now beginning a semester abroad in France!  Of course, I can't forget our sweet and sassy Cockapoo, Luna.
