Mrs. Rosen's Website!

We believe homework is important because it is a valuable aid in helping students make the most of their experience in school.  We give homework because it is useful in reinforcing what has been learned in class, prepares students for upcoming lessons, teaches responsibility, and helps students develop positive study habits.

The sixth grade uses a Google Slide to check their homework daily.  The sixth grade teachers post the homework on this slide by 3:00 pm.  Homework will be assigned regularly on Monday through Thursday nights.  We usually will not assign homework over weekends or over holiday breaks; however, some of the projects/assignments required in the upper grades may have a long-term due date.  In these cases, a child may need to take this extra time to complete the required work.  We will always try to give at least three days notice for upcoming assessments so that students may learn to organize and prioritize their study time accordingly.
