*ALEKS is a Math WEEKLY ASSIGNMENT - complete a minimum of 30 minutes (which is at least 3 topics) each week. There is an occasional 'make-up' week given for students to complete minutes from a prior week missed in that current quarter.
**If your child needs a copy of a particular assignment because they are absent or have lost it, they will find copies in Google Classroom, or in the Math and Science Extras Bin in my classroom upon your child's return to school.

A maximum of ½ credit will be given for work turned in one day late,
Zero credit will be given for work turned in after one day late (or per teacher discretion).

Math classwork and homework is typically graded on a scale of 1-5 (0 if not turned in). This applied to paper and digital work.
Science classwork, homework and notebook pages are also graded of out 5 in either gradual/daily checks, or you may see in Q "NTBK Check" (Notebook Check) which means multiple pages were checked at once.
*When a notebook check occurs - We have already gone over all pages together. I am looking for completeness/neatness, did the students correct/add information, was there effort put into the page(s) etc.

5 pts = 80-100% accuracy
4 pts = 70=79% accuracy
3 pts = 51-69% accuracy
2 pts = 50 and below
1 pt = incomplete
0 = not turned in
Grades are updated about every 2 weeks. Check periodically, but not daily.
