Hello Students and Parents/Guardians,
My name is Mrs. Ulloa and I teach Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1 at MCMS. This school year will be my 12th year teaching at Medea Creek. I went to school at UC Irvine and California Lutheran University and earned my BFA in dance performance, my teaching credential, and my masters in education. I danced and performed with a few different modern/contemporary dance companies in Los Angeles for about 5 years before becoming a teacher. I love all school subjects, but math is my favorite!
Math is interesting to me because I am always learning new ways to solve/think about problems. Mathematics encourages me to look for patterns and to look at problems from many different angles (math pun). Often times students share ideas with me that I have never considered before, and I love learning from my students! One is never too old to learn something new! :)
I enjoy learning about the world and different cultures. I also enjoy being a mom, traveling, baking yummy desserts, learning new recipes, watching movies, hiking, practicing yoga, organizing, EATING, cuddling with my two cats, spending time with my family and friends, ORGANIZING, and doing DIY projects around the house.
I am passionate about kindness and respecting others! I believe that when we are kind to one another/support each other, rather than put each other down, we become better people and can accomplish the goals we set for ourselves and our community. KINDNESS is KEY and disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
My husband and I have a daughter who is blast to be around! She is so fun to play with and loves to dance! We absolutely love watching her grow and learn, it's amazing!
I look forward to the school year and want you all to know that I am here to help and support you along the way! Do not be afraid to reach out if you should need something or have questions. It's more than okay (in fact it's super awesome) to ask for help in order to achieve your goals!
Here's to a great school year!!!
