We make ocular imaging part of our eye exam in Santa Monica. Optical Coherence Tomography or OCT is advanced technology that uses light waves to see beneath the surface of the eye. The OCT generates an image of the back of your eye as well as a detailed scan of the layers that your eyedoctor cannot see during a typical examination. 

OCT can be used to detect diseases in the back of your eye such as:

• Age-Related Macular Degeneration

• Diabetic Retinopathy

• Glaucoma

• Macular Edema

• Papilledema 

• Optic Nerve Atrophy
