Students books are due back on their next scheduled library day or about one week. If a student needs more time with a book, they can always have it renewed for additional time. Books needed for a school project can be kept as long as the student needs the book for.
Students that forget their book(s) are still able to check out books during their scheduled library time. Books can be returned on the next school day. Encourage students to return books on time so other students are not waiting to checkout the book.
Please see the "Library Class Schedule" tab to find out your child's library day.
Please send in a note or email Mrs. Tempestoso if a book becomes lost. We will make a note in our library catalog and ask that you continue searching for the book. Books can be misplaced at home, school or the public library so please keep looking. Lost book notices will be sent home in June with information how to replace the book
Minor damage like small tears or pen or pencil marks can be repaired at our "book hospital”. Books beyond repair, or those damaged by food or liquid cannot be reshelved with the regular collection, and a replacement copy must be purchased. Parents will be notified as to the cost of the replacement copy.
