Sustainability Captain - Downtown Oak park

The Forest Preserves is looking to engage youth in

a county-wide program that exposes them to the

operations of the Department of Conservation and

Experiential Programming (CEP). Interns will assist

all CEP staff and could work in all/any CEP locations

including, but not limited to, general office, nature

centers, and campgrounds. Interns will provide

support in a variety of administrative tasks,

assignments, programs and operational functions,

and will perform other duties as required or assigned.

Day Camp Counselor - WSSRA (will hire under 16)

Job requirement = 18 years and older.  Some jobs specify high school graduate. 

In general, the work in the Engineering Division consists of construction and sidewalk condition inspections, data collection and entry, surveying, CAD drafting, GIS mapping, and other engineering related work. 

In general, the work in the Fleet Division consists of Assisting Fleet Services employees with their daily tasks, shadowing technicians on repairs, picking up parts, car porter duties, cleaning vehicles and shop area, assist in the Parts Department, as well as other miscellaneous duties in the repair shop area.

In general, the work in the Forestry Division consists of assisting Village Staff with tree maintenance activities such as pruning and removing trees, data collection for tree inventory updates, landscape inspection and maintenance, and other forestry and landscape related work.

In general, the work in the Street & Street Lighting Division consists of assisting Village staff with street & sidewalk repairs, heavy manual labor and variety of semi-skilled construction and maintenance tasks, and other street related work.

In general, the work in the Water Division consists of a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks assisting Village staff in construction, repair, cleaning and maintenance of the Village Water & Sewer systems.
