Frequently Asked Questions about BUYING A YEARBOOK:
Q: WHEN/WHERE CAN I BUY A YEARBOOK?
A: Yearbooks are on sale at Jostens.com until March 1st.
Write down your password! You can use this same login to check your order info. every year.
To guarantee that you get one, you’ll need to purchase one BEFORE the deadline.
Q: I BOUGHT A BOOK BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO PICK IT UP AT SCHOOL DISTRIBUTION IN MAY.
A: All books are held at the OPRFHS bookstore for 1 year after purchase. You can pick up your book there during regular bookstore hours.
Q: I MESSED UP AND DID NOT PURCHASE A BOOK, I HEARD THERE MIGHT BE SOME EXTRA BOOKS FOR SALE ON THE FIRST DAY OF DISTRIBUTION, WHAT DO I DO?
A: Although we sometimes get overruns from the printer, IF we have any books to sell they will be on a first come first serve basis at distribution. Please have $60 cash, or a check written out to OPRFHS in hand on the first day of distribution, wait in line like everyone else (the line moves quick!) and once you get to the front of the line ASK if there are more books left for sale & cross your fingers.
We hold all purchased books for ONE year after distribution, so if there are no more 22-23 books to sell at this years distribution... you can always come back to next years distribution to see if there are purchased books that were never picked up.
Frequently Asked Questions about PHOTOGRAPHS:
Q: DID THE PHOTOGRAPH I TOOK IN THE ATTENDANCE OFFICE GO IN THE YEARBOOK?
A: NO, the photos taken in the attendance office are temporary photos, they DO NOT go into the yearbook. If you missed schedule pick-up week, you have to take a photo on retake day with VIP to get a portrait in the yearbook. You can also make an appointment with VIP at their Wheeling or Lemont studios before the cut-off date of Oct. 15.
Only current year photographs taken by VIP photographers will go in the portrait section of the yearbook.
Q: DO I HAVE TO TAKE A SENIOR PORTRAIT IN THE SUMMER?
A: NO, You have two options for senior portraits. 1. Paid Summer Portrait Packages (you get yearbook photo and more! that you can use for personal use) 2. Schedule pick up week, just yearbook photo. All photos you take with VIP are available for purchase .
Q: DO I HAVE TO USE VIP PHOTOGRAPHERS TO APPEAR IN THE YEARBOOK?
A: YES, FOR THE PORTRAIT SECTION...AT NO COST. These are the photos taken at the beginning of the year during Schedule Pick Up Week and on the Retake Day. This is the same photo as the one on your ID. We will use this photo as your Senior Picture AT NO COST
If you miss all of the VIP photo days, please let us know! This way we can try to get you into the book somewhere else, maybe a club, a sport even school spirit days! We want all of the Huskies to be covered in the book!
You CAN purchase portrait packages and prints from VIP for personal use.
Q: WHAT’S THE DEADLINE FOR SELECTING MY SENIOR PHOTO TO GO IN THE YEARBOOK?
A: Go to vipis.com to select the photo you would like VIP to submit for your senior portrait.
The Deadline for selecting your senior photo for the Yearbook is October 21.
If you book a portrait session you will choose between those photos and your schedule pick-up week photos.
VIP will send all student parent/guardians an email to choose what photo you would like to go into the yearbook. VIP will provide information after your photo session, VIP will also send an email with a direct link, or you can go to vipis.com or call at 847-499-9300 *The email will go to the parent/guardian email on file with OPRFHS. *Please check Skyward to make sure the email is correct for the parent/guardian.

Q: CAN I PICK UP MY YEARBOOK DURING THE SCHOOL DAY?
A: No during distribution week. & Yes after distribution week, we keep all pre-purchased books at the bookstore for ONE school year after the original distribution date. After that year we will sell those books to anyone who may want one.
Q: CAN MY CHILD PICK UP THE YEARBOOK FOR THEIR SIBLING?
A: Yes. They will need to have an ID, and they need to sign that they picked it up.
Q: CAN I PICK UP A YEARBOOK FOR A FRIEND WHO CAN'T COME AFTER SCHOOL?
A: Sorry, No. They can contact the school to make other arrangements, but students may only pick up books for themselves or a sibling.
Q: I ORDERED A PERSONALIZED BOOK, WILL IT BE DELIVERED DIRECTLY TO MY HOME?
A: YES, all personalized books are delivered by Jostens directly to the address you enter when you purchase on Jostens.com
Q: I MOVED SINCE I ORDERED MY PERSONALIZED BOOK, HOW DO I GET MY BOOK.
A: PLEASE let Jostens know your new address, before May 1st. Otherwise, your book WILL get delivered to the first address you gave Jostens.
Q: HOW DO I GET MY CHILD'S BOOK IF THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO GET IT THEMSELVES?
A: You can either come to yearbook pick up yourself or pick up the book in the bookstore starting the week after distribution.

Frequently Asked Questions about APPLICATION TO BE ON TABULA STAFF:
Q: If I took Tabula as a class, would there be any commitment I would have to do outside of school?
A: Yes there is always some level of commitment outside of class. How much depends on what position you are interested in, Writing, Photo, or Design.
There are two classes Photo/Design taught by Ms. White and Writing taught by Mr. Ganschow
Photo probably has the most commitment outside of school, as you would have to photograph events, sports, performances, etc…
Writers would have the second most commitment outside of school, as they have to do interviews and writing outside of school time.
Designers have the least, as they do most work during school hours.
Q: What are the prerequisites to join Tabula?
A: Prerequisites:
Each side has an application.
Photo/Design= Application & At least 1 year of either Photo 1 or Graphic Design (preferably more.. i.e. …. Photo 2 or GraphicDesign 2l) & Application
Writing= Application
Q: What kind of credits do I get if I am on Tabula?
A: Tabula is a full-year class.
Photo/Design = Fine Art OR Applied Arts credit.
Writing = English elective credit (does not count towards 4 years of English)
