The Showcase : Walkabout in Africa

With collaboration we can achieve much, and go on a journey of learning. We are excited about this collaboration between South Africa and Nigeria to develop our skills, capabilities and generate new learning resources for our learners.

It was during one of our live webinar sessions that we decided to learn more about Africa and extend the learning to our classrooms. An idea was born and a project - Walkabout Africa.

1. We started with a project document to set our goals and make sure we are on the same page. At the end of the document we kept a running update on our progress.

Our aim was not only to construct knowledge, but also to improve our Google Workspace for Education skills. We created a Project site to guide cohort members as they journey through this project. There is a gallery filled with awesome memories of the project.

One of the key aspects of the project was to create buddy groups. Each buddy team had to create one country and each cohort member completed their own individual countries. Connecting across Africa was an enriching experience! To lengthen the connection, we also shared our social media links.

Lastly, we proudly present our Walkabout in Africa!
