Curriculum Work

This summer both elementary and middle school teachers have the opportunity to be paid to work on curriculum for the district. Check back with this page for more details as they become available.


Elementary ELA/Math/Word Study Committees:

Members of the Elementary ELA and Math Committees should plan to attend the dates below for summer work. You will receive invitations to these events from Dr. Lawrence.

  • Math: June 19 & 20, 1:00pm-4:00pm
  • Word Study: August 5, 8:00am-11:00am


GTD Unit Development:

Elementary Gifted and Talented Differentiation Teachers are invited to participate in unit development work this summer, led by Lisa Westman. This work is designed to ensure consistent and coherent GTD curriculum across all 8 elementary buildings. Please sign up using the link below.


Math Enrichment & Differentiation with Lisa Westman (5th Grade & Middle School):

All 5th grade teachers and middle school math teachers, along with instructional coaches and GTD teachers, are invited to participate in professional learning on differentiation and the development of math enrichment materials for 5th, 6th, and 7th grades. The week begins with an all day session on differentiation (July 29th), and then splits into elementary and middle school groups to develop materials for the remainder of the week (July 30-August 1). All 5th grade teachers are then invited to attend an information sharing session with Lisa Westman to orient the team to the new materials (August 15th).

The Lincoln Spanish Immersion department will be meeting on the following dates:

IB Unit Planning:

Middle school departments will be meeting for summer IB unit planning with the IB coordinators on the following dates:

Language A:

  • 6th Grade: June 18
  • 7th Grade: August 6, 7, 8, & 12
  • 8th Grade: June 17

Math:

  • All Grades: June 12 & 13

Science:

  • 7th Grade: June 19
  • 8th Grade: June 20

Design:

  • June 20
