4th Graders love reading about Carlos!!
Students have begun reading the text Capibara con Botas. They will follow the adventures of Carlos in the rainforest of Ecuador as he seeks to overcome personal challenges!

Fourth graders started off the school year with by identifying their favorites in Spanish, likes and dislikes and looking for similarities and differences among the class. We also set proficiency goals for speaking and writing! We then read a short story, Carlos y los 3 Monstruos.
During Hispanic Heritage month, groups made collaborative presentations on Argentina, España, Colombia, Perú y México. We also have been enjoying Música Mania listening to songs from each Spanish speaking country and voting each class for a winner. Stay tuned to find out the final winner of the brackets!

¡El Mundial!
Students had a blast learning about the different countries participating in the World Cup. We also learned about the past winners, the offical mascots and music! Students made predictions in Spanish about which teams would win each game. Some classes even were able to watch part of a game en español.....¡¡¡¡¡¡¡GGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!
