The Field Experience
Placement Eligibility

During the semester, any Teacher Candidate identified as having incomplete coursework, struggling with coursework, or being in breach of the Mitch and Leslie Frazer Faculty of Education professionalism requirements, will meet with the Practicum Committee in order to address these issues and concerns.

Reasons for Field Experience ineligibility may include:

1. Attendance concerns;

2. Maintaining below a 2.7 grade point average;

3. Failure status in any BEd Program course;

4. Lack of professionalism (as described in the Teacher Candidates Role and Responsibilities).

Based on this review, any Teacher Candidate who has been identified as potentially ineligible to begin the Field Experience will meet with the Practicum Committee who will make recommendation to the Dean.
