Field Experience Guide

Over the course of their pre-service teacher education program, all Teacher Candidates take three Foundations courses that gradually introduce approaches to teaching and learning, including planning, instruction, assessment, and classroom management.

The Field Experience (or Practicum) is the practical component of these courses, giving Teacher Candidates an opportunity to apply their developing knowledge and skills. The Foundations Instructor is the primary contact for the Field Experience.

All Teacher Candidates have 3 Field Experiences in English-Language public, Catholic and member schools of the Conference of Independent Schools (CIS).
