Jolene Keane,
President
Jolene is a Kauaʻi native and Assistant General Manager at Keokiʻs Paradise. She is a dedicated leader driven by her core values of ʻohana, community, and grit. In 2025, she expanded her impact as President of the ONōmilu Foundation, where she works to perpetuate Hawaiian culture and ensure a sustainable future for the next generation. Balancing her professional drive with a love for family, yoga, and poetry, Jolene remains committed to building a stronger community through leadership and cultural preservation.
Kauaiiki Lee-Hornstine,
Director
Born and raised on Kaua‘i, Kauaiiki is a licensed boat captain who has spent 20+ years educating thousands of passengers privileged to join his legendary tours. Famous for his immersive storytelling, bringing the history of Hawai‘i, its people, and the mo‘olelo of the Nāpali Coast to life. A dedicated student of hula, he is committed to passing these traditions to his daughters and honoring the ancient lua pele of Nōmilu. Having grown up on these waters, he is personally dedicated to doing right by the place through authentic cultural stewardship.
Lindsey Lee-Hornstine,

Lindsey combines her experience as a counselor at Kauaʻi High School with a deep passion for family and marine conservation to support Onōmilu’s mission. Driven by a personal responsibility to conserve the ‘āina, she is committed to restoring the lua pele as a vibrant cultural and scientific classroom where students connect with aquaculture and STEM. Through her work, Lindsey fosters a legacy of stewardship, bridging the gap between local youth and the land to honor both past and future generations

Lynn Taylor is a dedicated artist and cultural steward driven by a lifelong connection to Nōmilu, a legacy passed down by her grandfather, Philip K. Palama, Sr., nearly a century ago. She merges her creative passion with ancestral wisdom to protect this sacred site, viewing its preservation as both a personal calling and a vital mission. By perpetuating traditional ecological practices and cultural knowledge, Lynn ensures that Nōmilu remains a living teacher, bridging her family’s rich history with a sustainable future for the next generation.
Thayne Taylor,
Director
Thayne’s background in information technology, finance, and entrepreneurship provides a strong foundation for steering the development of Onōmilu. He is deeply committed to honoring the lua pele and feels a personal responsibility to ensure the land is preserved and thriving for generations to come. By blending technical expertise with a dedication to the ‘āina, Thayne helps guide the foundation toward a sustainable and impactful future.
