Nōmilu. A wahi pana (a sacred, celebrated, and storied place) that holds deep historical and spiritual significance in Hawaiian culture. Historically, Nōmilu was an ‘ili kūpono dedicated to sustaining the ali‘i, renowned throughout the islands for producing the finest i‘a. Because it served as the traditional gateway to the moku, all ali‘i visiting Kaua‘i would stop at Nōmilu first to begin their journey.
