Learning from Home and School in Level 4 & Level 3 - 2021

This site is based on 2021 content.

We are directing whānau who have children who are close contacts in 2022 to this site to find additional learning to what their teacher shares if they need it.

There is a huge amount of learning which will be new and unseen because your child is in a different team and class now in 2022.

From a Ministry of Education bulletin...

Whānau - What you can do to help:

  • stay at home if you or your child is sick

  • avoid catching up with other parents, children and whānau at the gates

  • wear a face covering and maintain a two-metre distance from people not in your household bubble

  • get advice from your doctor if you or your child has complex medical needs (and please get in touch so that we can support your child to return onsite, wherever possible)

  • avoid having playdates inside with children from other families at Alert Level 3.

OPS Having A Good Time.mp4

Did you see the video our staff made for you at the end of our Week 7 Assembly? We have added it here in case you missed it.

The message in our video is...

At OPS we know that being positive and grateful is really important for our wellbeing. We can't choose what lockdown level we are in, but we can choose how we respond . We can choose to be positive and look for the good things each day.

While we really want to be back at school together, we are determined to be 'Having A Good Time' as much as we can while we are learning and teaching at home.

The movie might take a while to load...but it is worth it.

Home Learning TV is back!

Good news! Papa Kāinga | Home Learning TV is making a return to TV programming.

There'll be a mix of brand new programmes, plus some of those familiar favourites, including Karen's House and Suzy Cato.

They will put details of the coming week’s lessons on the Learning From Home website so teachers and whānau can plan ahead. For teachers and kāiako, that means lessons can be incorporated into their planned teaching programmes.

You can watch the team on free-to-air DUKE+1, on Freeview 18 or Sky channel 504. Episodes are also available to watch at TVNZ online and will be made available OnDemand soon after the original broadcast.

Keep an eye on the Learning From Home website to see what’s coming up: www.learningfromhome.govt.nz
