Welcome to Information & Technology Class!

Our mission is to help students acquire technology and information skills essential for students in the 21st century.

Our curriculum covers traditional library informational skills (locating and accessing materials in the library & gathering and evaluating information) plus technology skills (taking proper care when using technology, composing simple words, creating a design, participating in the Hour of Code & learning about digital citizenship). We will meet once every four days for 45 minutes. Students will receive a semester grade based on their ability to do the following:

• connect and communicate in a responsible, safe and ethical manner in the digital world
• operate developmentally appropriate technology
• gather and evaluate information and literary text sources based on their information need or for personal growth
• design a digital artifact using a variety of digital tools to communicate ideas or solve problem
• follow the “Fox Four” expectations
