Participants of the 2026 Workshop on Cultural Evolution are eligible to apply for a research grant to carry out a project of their own design, using the methods and frameworks of cultural evolution. The OVRP team works with awardees to develop the project, publish the results, and attend the Cultural Evolution Society conference in 2028.

1. Design — Shape a question and a plan you can carry out. We are here to help you give you feedback on your ideas.
2. Apply — Complete the online application and add a link to your CV before the deadline.
3. Get funded — Awardees work with the OVRP team from data collection through to publication.

Open to all participants in the 2026 Workshop on Cultural Evolution, held at the South Omo Research Center. You may apply on your own or as a small team with one lead applicant.
