Introduction and Welcome

Hello,

          I would like to introduce myself to you.  My name is Ms. Dorothy Hogan and I am very excited to be starting my sixth year at Our Lady of Mercy.  This will be my thirty-six year teaching at three different schools.  I have taught first, fifth, and sixth grades and also taught the Orton-Gillingham Reading Program for three years at Blessed Trinity in Philadelphia.  I love being here at such a beautiful and successful Blue Ribbon School and enjoy teaching second grade.  I have been certified in the Orton - Gillingham Dyslexia Program since 2012 and my passion is teaching Reading.  I hope to create a classroom atmosphere of fun, laughter, happiness and success for all my students.  

        I will do my best to make this an enjoyable and enriching experience for your child.  Thank you for entrusting your child's learning to Our Lady of Mercy.
