A few years ago, as my own children were facing their own difficulties in school, it occurred to me that I wanted my children’s teachers to have certain characteristics. I decided that if I was going to demand these characteristics of my children’s teachers, then I should provide the same for my own students. Since then, my personal teaching philosophy is that I want to be the kind of teacher for each of my students that I would want for my own children. That kind of teacher is one who cares.

As such, you will find that I am fair and reasonable. If your child is having trouble in class, please talk to me. I will help. If your child did an entire assignment wrong because they were confused, talk to me. My goal is that each of my students succeeds in my classes. I absolutely believe that each one of them can, and I will help them in any way that I can. Please know that these are difficult classes. They are difficult because we are going to learn a lot of new material. I will expect a great deal of my students. I want to equip them with the knowledge that they will need for their next class as well as for the ACT and SAT and college.

I usually arrive at school by 7:00am each day and stay after until 2:50pm as well. Please don’t hesitate to come and see me if you have questions or concerns.
