1-Natural Resource: is something that is found in nature and can be used by
people.
2- Examples of natural resources: sun, wind, animals, plants, water, flowers,
air, rocks, trees, wind, soil, and minerals.
3- Renewable Resources: resources that can be replaced in a short time.
4- Examples of renewable resources: solar energy from the sun, wind, water,
trees, and soil.
5- Nonrenewable Resources: resources that take a long time to replace or
cannot be replaced once they are used up.
6- Examples of nonrenewable resources: coal, oil, and natural gas.
7- Conserve: to save or protect natural resources.
8- Ways you can conserve natural resources: use less of them, recycle, turn
off water and lights when not in use, pick up liter, plant seeds for flowers and
trees.
9- Recycle: to use an item again.
10- Things that we use daily that can be recycled: plastic bottles, paper,
aluminum cans, and glass bottles.
11- Erosion: the washing away of soil by rain, wind, and nearby rivers.
12- Some ways that we are harming our natural resources: pollution, smoke
from burning fires, chemicals from factories and farms.
13- Agricultural Region: place where there is much flat land and rich soil.
14- Industrial Region: place where many kinds of factories and businesses are
located.
15- Adapt: change the way you do something to fit into an environment.
16- Modify: change the environment to fit your needs.
17- Irrigate: bring water through pipes.
