IXL is an online engagement tool that we will be using in the classroom as well as for homework.  Your login information will be coming home tomorrow.  Please only do the assigned sections.  

     This week we will be getting back to work!  We will be learning the letter R, subtracting symbols.  We will be working on our sight words.  We will begin the fairy tale for the month: The Gingerbread Man.

This should be a quiet month ending with our Read-a-thon and Catholic Schools Week.

     The homework sheet will be in the front of your child's folder.  It is also posted on this site under the homework tab.  Since the budget has passed I look forward to starting the new year with workbooks (fingers crossed).

      Students should be reviewing their sight words every night.  You can create index cards with the words on them and put them on the refrigerator or on the steps going upstairs.  We use them to make sentences.  Make a game out of it and have fun!
