Mrs. Cynthia Judice

Pre-K

Our Lady of Fatima School

Meet the Teacher

I'm happy to be here, I am, I am.  My name is Cynthia Judice and I have been an educator for more than 30 years. 23 of those years have been as a Pre-K teacher.  My classroom theme is based on Dr. Seuss.  The Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and 2, and Horton are familiar characters that welcome children to our room and make them feel comfortable.  Their funny names stimulate smiles and quickly get students' attention.

Helping to shape minds of early learners has been my calling.  My philosophy is that children learn best when they are having fun.  My goal is to educate each child and provide an enriching classroom experience that stimulates growth socially, academically, physically, and spiritually. I will use literature, games and activities, technology, manipulatives, and music to build cognitive and physical development. Students will be actively engaged in learning.

I will provide a classroom environment that is conducive to learning. Through organized and well-managed activities, students will engage in whole group instruction when new concepts are introduced.  Students will also have opportunities to work independently, interact with peers in small groups, and receive one-on-one assistance when needed. There will be rules and guidelines for the classroom to promote order, respect, and safety.  Students will have opportunities to benefit from positive behavior as well as learn from making mistakes. Overall, making a child feel loved, important, and accepted is vital.

Each child's family is an extension of our classroom.  It is essential that we communicate clearly so a weekly newsletter will be provided.  You will know what topics will be covered, the literature being used, activities we will be completing, and special events or activities in our class or at school.  This information will be provided by email or hardcopy in your child's folder.  We can also communicate through email. Please feel free to contact me with questions or concerns at cjudice@olf.org.  I can be reached by phone at 235-2464 (school).  I am available for conferences by appointment.

Your child is important to me and I look forward to an exciting year!
