Our facilities are an important part of the Pathways experience, giving students access to spaces designed for hands-on, career-connected learning. Use this page to discover some of the spaces you may want to check out during your visit at Old Saybrook High School. From our Business Center and Medical Simulation Lab to our Engineering & Innovation Lab, culinary spaces, art studios, auditorium, wood-shop, and more, these facilities give students opportunities to explore their interests, build skills, and experience learning beyond a traditional classroom.

Hands-on clinical learning environment equipped with a mock ambulance and simulated healthcare setting.
Students participate in patient-care simulations, emergency response scenarios, and wellness activities while developing the communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills used by healthcare professionals.

A hands-on culinary learning space equipped with commercial-style ovens, stovetops, refrigeration, food-preparation stations, sinks, small appliances, cookware, and professional kitchen tools.
A technology-rich, hands-on learning space supporting engineering, design, problem-solving, and innovation.
Equipped with 3D printers and modern technology, students design, prototype, test, and refine ideas while developing technical, collaborative, and creative problem-solving skills used in today’s industries.
A hands-on learning space equipped with professional woodworking and fabrication equipment, including table saws, band saws, miter saws, drill presses, sanders, workbenches, hand tools, and other shop machinery.
A dedicated performance and event space equipped with a full stage, theatrical lighting, sound and audiovisual technology, projection capabilities, and audience seating.
The auditorium supports theater productions, musical performances, presentations, guest speakers, ceremonies, and community events, giving students experience in both performance and behind-the-scenes production.

Creative, hands-on spaces equipped with art tables, sinks, storage, display areas, and materials and equipment for drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, and other visual arts.
Both digital and traditional tools allow students to explore a variety of artistic techniques, develop their creative skills, and bring ideas from concept to finished work.
