There are many options for fulfilling the CCR credit and the requirement is designed to be individualized and designed by you and your CCR Coordinator.
CCR Mentor-Led Internship (Eligibility: Must be 16 years old) Students, either independently or with the assistance of CCR Coordinators, will identify and secure an internship site and mentor. NOTE: To receive credit, students are required to complete and submit the Credit Documentation Form.
Capstone - Credit may be earned if you complete a Capstone project where the focus of your project results in growth that is aligned with your post-high school career/educational goals
Credit may be earned through successful completion of News Media Now, Advanced Research Methods, Advanced Food Services, or any career-based or applied practices classes IF their work/ project/ research focus matches a student’s career interest.
Informational Interviews - Credit may be earned by conducting a series of information-gathering interviews with professionals in a desired career field and/or by interviewing individuals majoring in desired fields at post-secondary educational institutions. (The number of interviews needed would depend on the depth of each interview.)
Extensive research in a career area or educational plan of study or a combination of the two. (Plan for this would be determined by you and your CCR coordinator.
Earn an Eagle Scout Recognition, complete and pass an EMT Certification Course, become a Junior Firefighter, take Real Estate Licensing class, etc., IF these options are related to an intended career/course of study pathway. (for example a medical pathway or public safety)
Complete one or more job shadows in person or utilize one of the following virtual job shadow links.
Engage in College and Career research opportunities through student surveys and interest inventories. These activities may include:

AchieveWorks® Personality helps students identify their personality type by asking them to choose scenarios that best represent how they behave in real life.
The Career Cluster Finder helps students identify their interests and discover career clusters containing careers that might interest them.
The Career Interest Profiler captures a student's interests to help identify their personality traits and suggest careers based on the U.S. Department of Labor's data.
The Career Key helps students identify their Holland traits, and best match work environments and related careers by asking them questions about their interests.
StrengthsExplorer helps students identify their key strengths that they can use as they proceed on their college, career, and life readiness journey.
