Final assembly of the year
We held our final assembly of 2025 this afternoon.
Today we said farewell to two staff members. Mrs Burr is leaving Oldcastle to focus on a different venture. Having started in 2015, Mrs Burr has touched the lives of many children during her time in Oldcastle. We wish Mrs Burr all the very best in the future. Mrs McManus is also leaving Oldcastle to take up a position in private industry. Thank you both for everything you have done for Oldcastle Primary School and its pupils.
Mrs Loughran is also changing her role within school. From January, Mrs Loughran will not be in school during the day, instead she will run the after school club every afternoon. We are glad you are not leaving us just yet Mrs L!
We have a number of new staff joining us and we look forward to welcoming them to Team Oldcastle.
Finally, in assembly, we were treated to a rendition of 'Twelve Days of Christmas' from some of our staff. The children loved it - thank you for entertaining us all.
Barney's Birthday
Monday, 22nd December, is Barney's 5th birthday, and we celebrated his birthday in our assembly today. Happy birthday Barney - you are loved by everyone in our school community. The whole school sung happy birthday to Barney in assembly today!
