First Choice Online Academy teachers are state-certified. They're specially trained in online instruction methods. Many have advanced degrees and years of experience in online and brick-and-mortar schools. They participate in ongoing professional development.

First Choice Online Academy empowers students to learn in the ways that are best for them—in their own place and at their own pace. An important distinction about First Choice Online Academy is our approach to personalized learning and commitment to helping students learn and grow. Not all children succeed with a one-size-fits-all education experience.

Any 1st through 12th grade student who resides in the State of Oklahoma can attend if an application is submitted during the application window period. Additionally, out of district students must have filled out an Online Learning Registration (OLR) for Oklahoma City Public Schools before possible acceptance in the program.  Contact us for more information about enrollment. 

Do you have questions about transferring? With the enactment of Senate Bill 783 (2021), the Legislature made comprehensive reforms to Oklahoma’s school transfer laws. The First Choice Online Academy team is happy to assist you through this process.
