Current OKCPS teachers and instructional staff members share their passion for public education and why they continue to choose OKCPS.
“I decided to become a teacher around 5th grade because I had a teacher who was there for me when I needed someone to save my life. She gave me an out, something my siblings did not have, she gave me hope, and she gave me a future,” Reyes-Garcia recalled. “I decided I would do the same thing for other students who were in my position.”
OKCPS students deserve the same 21st century learning facilities and opportunities as their peers in neighboring districts and OKC voters showed us they feel the same way.
We are beyond elated that both of our bond propositions passed with more than 60% of voters in support. This is a historic bond approval for OKCPS and this is a moment to be celebrated. This package will impact every OKCPS student and will be transformational for both OKCPS and Oklahoma City. Thank you to those who voted to approve this monumental bond.
When a community comes together, great things happen.
