Keep food and drinks away from devices!!
Carry devices with both hands and never run with a device.
When not in use, keep devices in a safe and organized location and in numerical order AT ALL TIMES.
Ensure students use only the device that is assigned to them.
Teachers and students must learn how to lock their screens or close the lid when walking away from their devices for any amount of time. (Windows + L for Chromebooks and Dells; Use a passcode or the blackout button for iPads).
Remind students daily to logout of apps and devices after using.
Keep your devices charged! Set an expectation with students that they will arrive at school with a fully charged device. However, it is a good idea to prepare a charging station in your classroom for those that forget or need a boost.
Turn Chromebook devices off at regular intervals to receive proper updates. For iPads, respond quickly to update prompts. Allowing for auto updates is also helpful.

If students notice something wrong with their device, they should report it to you right away.
After use, return devices to the proper teacher designated storage spot and gently plug into the chargers.

Students can be taught to double check devices and storage stations as part of clean up procedures on Fridays.
