A+ Requirements

A+ Students Must:

1. Enter into a written agreement with OGHS prior to graduation.

2. Attend a designated A+ school for two consecutive years prior to high school graduation.

3. Graduate with a minimum 2.5 cumulative, unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale.

4. Graduate with a minimum 95% cumulative attendance rate (over all four years).  Students with 94.99% attendance will not be eligible (state requirement).

5. Maintain a record of positive citizenship and avoid the illegal use of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, nicotine/vaping.

6. Perform fifty (50) hours of unpaid mentoring/tutoring, included in the 50 hours can be 12.5 hours of job shadowing.

7. Make a “good faith effort” to secure all other forms of financial aid through a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

8. Register with the Selective Service (males only).

9. Have achieved a score of proficient or advanced on the Algebra I end of course exam or a higher level DESE approved end-of-course exam in the field of mathematics or received an ACT math sub score of 17 or greater and a 2.5 GPA, 16 and 2.8 or greater GPA, or 15 and a 3.0 or greater GPA.
